Matisse Turps-based Varnish produces a hard, non-yellowing acrylic gloss finish. Quick drying, it is best used as a final varnish to give your painting the final glow.
If an additional coat is required, make sure the first coat is dry before applying the second. Strippable, the varnish re-dissolves in mineral turpentine, which has no effect on Matisse acrylic paints: thus a painting may be completely cleaned and re-varnished without affecting the paint. Ideal for use in restoration (may be used on oil paintings). Also called Retouch Varnish (a retouch varnish can be achieved with the addition of 80% mineral turps).
