Artist Statement:
I was going for a walk one day with a friend and noticed a great reflection in a puddle of water. It was a gloomy day after a period of rain and there were many puddles around. The reflection was of a crane at the Armoury near Sydney Olympic Park. It caught my attention and I snapped a quick photo. Some time later when I was searching for a subject to paint, I found the photo and wondered whether I could do it justice. There were lovely details in the crane and I really enjoyed trying to capture the image in both my view of the crane and the reflection.
