Art Spectrum Gum Arabic is used as a medium to help keep diluted watercolours from sinking below absorbent surfaces and control spread when overpainting with wet-on-wet techniques.

Adding Gum Arabic to your paints will make the colour resistant to water while also increasing the flow of paints when trying to achieve controlled glazes. It gives a crisp appearance to watercolour edges. Art Spectrum Gum Arabic increases transparency and gloss.
