Artwork Description:
I aimed to show a beautiful moment (a simple pleasure of sitting outside in nature) as well as invoke curiosity about what the person's story is and where they are. More broadly I wanted to convey that nature is both part of us and bigger than us; it deserves our appreciation and respect.
Artist Statement:
Painting has changed how I view my surrounds. I’m engaged in subtle details that change with the light, and evermore in awe of the natural world while contemplating our place in it.

Education
In 2023 I took Annabel Butler's Expressive Painting course at the National Art School.
More recently I've been studying under Matilda Michell.
I have a PhD in Science and an honours degree in Speech Pathology.
