In a nod to the picturesque, expansive coastlines of our Australian shores, participants will have the opportunity to work at their own pace with the guidance of a professional artist to complete up to three coastal studies which encapsulate one sweeping view of the ‘coast’ and two shells found on the coast.
In this workshop, we will use five selected feature colours from the Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour Paints collection. Experiment with watercolour mediums such as iridescent medium to bring shimmer to sun glistening water and luminous mother of pearl shell. Participants will learn about the properties, uses and mixes of the five feature colours and how they bring a contemporary twist to a traditional palette selection, working so beautifully for coastal subject matter.
Suitable for beginners and intermediate level artists. All materials will be provided for use during the workshop.
