The Global Colours Professional Fluid Gesso Primer adds tooth to your chosen surface ready for your oil or acrylic paint to be applied. The 100% acrylic polymer gesso has a thinner consistency than the Global Colours Gesso Primers and is semi-transparent in colour.
The Global Colours Professional Fluid Gesso Primer is ideal for artists who prefer a smoother application and surface to work on. This fluid gesso primer is suitable for use on concrete, canvas, plaster, and wood, preparing them for oil and acrylic painting applications.
To use, ensure your chosen surface is free from dust and grease. Then, apply the fluid gesso primer straight from the bottle with a wide brush. For a smooth surface, apply several thin coats with a light sanding between each coat. For oil painting, apply at least 3 even coats of primer and allow 1-2 hours between coats to dry. Alternatively, Global Colours Professional Fluid Gesso Primer can be thinned up to 10% with water to allow for absorption into more porous surfaces.
