Customise a Leather Bag with Pebeo

What you will need

A leather bag
Pebeo Setacolor Leather Paint in colours of your choice (we used Aubergine Violet, Ultramarine Blu, Khaki Green, Sage Green, Sakura Pink, Candy Pink and Orange)
Pebeo Setacolor Leather Degreaser
Paint brushes (choose a few different shapes or sizes depending on your design)
A paint palette
A rag

How to do it

Step One: Start by degreasing the bag with the degreasing compound and a rag to ensure the leather paint adheres properly. Allow it to dry for a few moments.
Step Two: On a palette, prepare your colours by softening the brightest shades. Add a touch of Sakura Rose from the Setacolor Leather range to Aubergine Violet, Khaki Green, Ultramarine Blue, and Orange. Adjust the tones by varying the amount of Sakura Rose you mix in, depending on the result you want to achieve.
Step Three: If possible, remove the shoulder strap to keep it out of the way. Lightly pad the inside of the bag to minimise creases, especially if the leather is very soft. Apply brushstrokes of colour next to each other, varying the thickness of the strokes by changing the width of the brush.
Step Four: Cover the entire surface to be decorated, allowing enough time for overlapping or adjacent paint to dry. If necessary, apply a second coat of Setacolor Leather paint to more transparent colours for better coverage. Once dry, reattach the shoulder strap. Now, enjoy your unique, personalised leather bag!
