What you will need
- Gelli Arts 5” X 7” Printing Plate
- Gelli Arts Rubber Brayer
- Baking Paper
- Hot Glue Gun
- Drawing Paper / Card Stock (A5)
- Acrylic Paint in shades of pink
- Heat-resistant glass baking tray
- Envelopes (optional)
How to do it
Step One:Using a hot glue gun, draw a heart pattern onto parchment or baking paper. Ensure all the glue lines are connected to create a solid heart shape. |

Step Two:Place another sheet of parchment or baking paper over the glue pattern. Press down firmly using a heavy, heat-proof object like a glass baking tray to flatten the glue. |

Step Three:Allow the hot glue to cool completely before carefully peeling the hardened heart pattern off the baking paper. Set it aside for later use. |

Step Four:Using a light-coloured paint, create several Gelli prints as backgrounds. Make enough prints to cover the number of Valentine’s Day cards you plan to make. |

Step Five:Allow the hot glue to cool completely before carefully peeling the hardened heart pattern off the baking paper. Set it aside for later use.

Step Six: (optional)For added variety, hand-cut a slightly larger heart-shaped mask out of paper. Use repositionable adhesive to place this mask over the heart area of one of your prints. Brayer paint onto the Gelli Plate and pull another print, adding depth and contrast to your design. |

Step Seven:Trim the printed papers to your desired size and adhere them to card stock to complete your Valentine’s Day cards. |
