
Add a handmade touch to your Easter celebrations with this fun paper mache bowl craft. Using simple household materials, you’ll create lightweight bowls perfect for holding eggs, candy, or festive decorations.
What you will need
- Mod Podge Matte Formula
- Decoupage Brush
- 3 Large Egg Cartons
- Food Processor
- Plastic Wrap
- Printed Napkins
- Small Bowl
- Small Tub
Instructions
- Tear egg cartons into small pieces and soak in water in a small tub overnight.
- Place the soaked pieces of the egg cartons into the food processor and fill up to the maximum level. Blend until you have a paste. This should make one small bowl.
- Remove from food processor and squeeze the excess water out as much as possible.
- Add half a bottle of Mod Podge Matte Formula into the paste and knead the mixture until it is completely mixed.
- Place the plastic wrap on the inside of the bowl and mould the mixture to the bowl. Allow to dry for 3 days. Once dry remove from bowl.
- Remove all the layers of the napkin leaving only the printed layer. Mod Podge the napkin to the bowl using a large brush. Allow to dry.
