Lazertran Transfer Paper is a unique decal transfer paper, ideal for artists and crafters! These papers can be used to print photographs, images, or drawings from your computer directly onto the paper via an inkjet printer, which you can then transfer onto a variety of surfaces.
The Lazertran Transfer Paper is a thin, plastic layer bonded to soft paper which can be transferred to other surfaces after being printed on. First, print your design on the white, chalky side of the paper. Once printed, cut your design to size, then wet the paper in a tray of water until the decal releases from the backing paper – this typically takes roughly 1 minute. Leave to dry, then apply the paper design to surfaces such a ceramic tiles, glass, metal, or wood!
For smooth or non-absorbent surfaces such as plastic and metals, the gum on the back of the decal paper should be enough to give good adhesion. However, for more absorbent surfaces such as wood you can use a thin layer of binder medium (such a gloss medium) to adhere to the surface.
Once your binder medium has dried, you can varnish over the top of the design to protect it. An oil or spirit-based varnish will make the decal transparent or use a water-based varnish if you want the decal to remain white.
Enjoy decorating and customising a variety of objects with your designs using Lazertran Transfer Paper!
