Matisse Fluid Acrylic Paint is a highly pigmented paint with a liquid-like viscosity. Each colour has an ASTM rating of I or II indicating very good to excellent lightfastness, and they are completely opaque used straight out of the container.
Matisse Fluid is compatible with Matisse Structure and Matisse Flow formula paints. They can be blended together or used by itself on the same artwork. These Fluid Acrylics from Matisse have a very smooth but slightly dense viscosity.
Being highly pigmented the colours will appear dark and intense on initial application but can be spread easily with a brush or mixed with water to reveal the colour graduation. Tints and colour wash effects can be achieved similar to watercolour but with the permanence of an acrylic paint.
Alternatively, artists can combine these acrylics with Matisse Mediums to achieve a variety of effects or finishes.
