Derivan Pouring Mediums

Derivan Pouring Medium is an additive used with acrylic paints and acrylic inks resulting in a more thinned out fluid consistency. The mixture can then be used to achieve abstract paintings. Ideally applied to rigid non-porous surfaces, it is ideal for all types of pouring techniques from clean to dirty pours. (for best results ensure the painting surface is level before applying).

To pre-mix your paints use a ratio of 100ml Derivan Pouring Medium to 10ml paint colour and decant into a squeegee bottle for each colour. If using Derivan Pouring Medium alone it will result in areas of transparency on your artwork. Derivan Pouring Medium can also be used to achieve a high gloss finish by applying multiple coats to your dry painted surface. Allow a minimum of 24-48 hours to dry between layers. Water-based and non toxic.
