The Draftex 5200 Lead Pointer is a rotating Lead Pointer for 2mm clutch pencils. Features 2 sharpness settings to suit different leads - harder lead holds finer point longer than soft grade leads. Includes choice of lead sharpness guide and cleaning filter for removal of graphite dust.
Instruction:
1. Press lead release button of your clutch pencil and let the lead drop into one of the 2 holes (with marking to show the choice of sharpness setting) located on the black top rotating section of Draftex 5200 Lead Pointer
2. Drop the lead to the bottom and then bring the clutch jaws of the pencil down to the level of the top of the hole and release the button to clamp your lead.
3. Place the barrel of the clutch pencil in the hole at the top of the pointer and rotate. Once the grinding of the lead ceases you have reached your optimal sharpness.
4. Remove the clutch pencil and then push the sharpened point of the lead into the white filter and twist to remove any residual lead dust that could transfer to your drawing and cause smudging.
