Gamblin Palette Knife Hoyt

Gamblin Palette Knife Hoyt is a professional quality painting knife featuring an angled blade designed to expand the possibilities of expressive mark making. Its distinctive shape allows artists to apply bold, thick passages of paint while providing additional clearance between the hand and painting surface, helping prevent knuckles from dragging across wet artwork.

The Gamblin Palette Knife Hoyt features a one piece FlexSteel™ blade made from non reflective carbon steel. The 1.5mm thick steel gradually tapers towards the edge, providing an ideal combination of even tension, manoeuvrability and responsive flex. This construction allows artists to create crisp edges, sweeping strokes, textured marks and substantial impasto applications with greater control.

Ideal for oil and acrylic painting, the angled design of the Gamblin Palette Knife Hoyt provides an alternative to traditional straight palette knives and encourages experimentation with different gestures and paint applications. It can also be used for mixing colours, blending paint and preparing colours on a palette.

The handle is handcrafted from sustainably grown, FSC certified birch. Each of the six Gamblin Palette Knife designs features a distinctive colourway for easy identification in the studio, with the Hoyt finished with a Transparent Earth Yellow colour dip.
