Gamblin Palette Knife Robert

Gamblin Palette Knife Robert is a professional quality painting knife featuring a distinctive Japanese inspired blade designed for sharp lines, crisp marks and expressive paint application. Featuring the longest blade edge in the Gamblin Palette Knife range, the Robert offers a stiffer feel with additional bounce, giving artists responsive control when manipulating paint.

The Gamblin Palette Knife Robert features a one piece FlexSteel™ blade made from non reflective carbon steel. The 1.5mm thick steel gradually tapers towards the edge to provide even tension, excellent manoeuvrability and controlled flex. Its long, narrow profile is particularly effective for cutting sharp lines, laying down clean edges and dropping crisp, deliberate marks onto the painting surface.

Ideal for oil and acrylic painting, the Gamblin Palette Knife Robert can be used for direct paint application, impasto, scraping, layering and expressive mark making. It can also be used on the palette for mixing and manipulating colours before application.

The handle is handcrafted from sustainably grown, FSC certified birch. Each of the six Gamblin Palette Knife designs features a distinctive colourway for easy identification in the studio, with the Robert finished with a Cadmium Red Light colour dip.
