Grey Scale

Grey Scale Card allows for accurate reading and also provides ample area for testing colours samples. Card size 102mm x 52mm . In photography, a grey scale is a card bearing a set of neutral grey patches arranged in increasing equal steps of reflection density from white to black, representing equal visual steps of grey.

The Grey Scale main use is to match the density scale and colour balance of a transparency or print, for which purpose it is usually included at the edge of the photographed scene, or shot separately at both ends of the film.
