Japanese Shina Plywood is made from Japanese Maple. It is soft and carves easily, prints with a beautiful grain and have the ability to hold detail and sharp edges during printmaking process.
Japanese Shina Plywood Blocks is sanded smooth to an even thickness, and is usable on both sides.
Ideal for inexpensive woodcut relief printing. Suitable to be carved with Lino tools and also works well with oil based inks or as painting surface when primed.
Store Japanese Shina Plywood Blocks flat in a dry place to prevent warping. Keep away from excessive heat.
