The grit will have a slight levelling effect that is perfect for preparing inferior surfaces or rough edges.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo use Jo Sonja's Gesso, apply straight from the tub onto a clean, dry surface using a brush or paint roller. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next coat, and the gesso may be sanded between coats for a smoother finish. Sanding is also recommended on the final coat, prior to painting, if you wish for a smooth and even surface to work on.
