The kit contains various colours from the Reeves Fine Artist Watercolour paint range. This paint contains highly concentrated pigments which offer you a quality product and excellent value for money. Simply dilute with water and you will see that a little paint goes a long way!
Reeves Fine Artist Watercolour paints have excellent lightfastness and colour brilliance. Containing a selection of opaque, semi-transparent, and transparent paints, they can be used on their own or mixed to create clean bright colours and finishes. Achieve granulating textural effects or flat un-textured washes whilst using Reeves Watercolour Paints. Depending on the colours selected and the amount of dilution with water you can experiment away. You will be able to achieve rich saturated colours straight from the tube or try building up layers of thin washes to create delicate and luminous results. Reeves Fine Artist Watercolour paints are easy to clean up with water, free from harsh chemicals making them suitable for both artists, students, or hobbyists.
To apply the Reeves Fine Artist Watercolour paint, two brushes are included in the kit. A Jasart Round Red Sable brush is perfect for use with watercolour paints. Due to the natural sable hairs, the bristles retain its elasticity and shape offering control and accuracy ideal for fine detail work. Whilst the Jasart White Taklon Long Liner Brush has synthetic bristle that come to a long point, use for fine lines or sweeping applications of paint across the surface. Both brushes have short handles for maximum control.
Mix your Reeves Fine Artist Watercolour paints in the plastic painting palette provided to create unique colours. Made from durable plastic and compact in design, it comes with 10 wells around a larger centre well enabling you to mix multiple colours at time. Any Reeves Fine Artist Watercolour paints that dries in the palette can be reactivated with water and reused. When the paints are no longer required, clean-up is a breeze - simply use water!
The Winsor & Newton Colourless Art Masking Fluid 75ml available in the kit is a rubber latex-based liquid that can be used to mask out areas of paper so wet media cannot penetrate it. Apply onto dry paper using an old brush. Ensure the Winsor & Newton Colourless Art Masking Fluid is dry before applying any colour washes. When ready to remove use an eraser over the area to brush away the residue. Shake bottle before use.
