Ampersand Museum Series Claybord is an ultra-smooth, absorbent clay ground with a hardboard support. The Claybords are extremely versatile, accepting more mediums than any other surface!
Featuring an amazing kaolin clay ground formula, similar in paintability to the clay gesso grounds used in the Renaissance, your paint colours will remain true and brilliant. Excellent for use with pigmented, alcohol and india inks, acrylics, watercolour, gouache, pencil, pens, egg tempera, airbrush, photo transfers and mixed media. Artists can scratch through paint and ink to create unique texture and details in their work.
Ampersand Museum Series Claybord also bonds well with adhesives, making it a great option for mounting photos, fabrics, and prints.
Ampersand Claybord surfaces are archival and acid-free, so you can rest assured your artworks will last over time when stored appropriately.
