Art Spectrum Rabbit Skin Glue is a size used in the traditional method of preparing canvas for oil painting. Used prior to priming, the glue acts as a penetrating liquid to fill the pores of the canvas.

Description

To use: dissolve 1 part Rabbit Skin Glue to 10-15 parts cold water. Soak until all the water has been absorbed by the glue to a porridge consistency (1 hour or overnight). Stir and heat gently in a double boiler until glue dissolves (do not boil the glue). Apply when still warm (not hot) with a stiff brush.

Rabbit Skin Glue should not be used under Acrylic Gesso or Art Spectrum Oil Prime.
