The Birch Creative Eyelet Plier Set is an easy way to put eyelets into materials such as cotton, canvas, leather and denim. Cord, string or ribbon can then be threaded through the eyelets to gather the material. Place on waistbands on clothing, for ruching the top of drawstring bags, papercrafts, as decoration and more.
To use the Birch Creative Eyelet Plier Set, first cut a hole in your material where you want the eyelet to go ensure that it is the same size as the eyelet. (You could use a hole or leather punch for this). Push the eyelet through the hole from the right side of the material so the flat part of the eyelet is on the right side of the fabric. Tuck any loose threads under the flat part of the eyelet so they are not visible. Align the eyelet pliers then squeeze them together firmly. If the eyelet can be rotated in the fabric you need to squeeze with a little more force until it holds the material tightly.
