Enjoy the Derwent Inktense experience in a block format, which unlocks colour application possibilities. Their block shape is extremely versatile, use them on their side to quickly cover large areas or use the pointed corners for adding detail.
Derwent Inktense Blocks can be used dry, then add water to transform to the colour to an ink wash. Once dry, Inktense colours are permanent, making them ideal for building layers of colour. The colours in the range are pigment rich and produce vibrant, intense, bold colours.
Why not use Derwent Inktense Blocks to create an inky solution! Simply mix shavings of the blocks with water and enjoy applying the colour with a brush for a painterly experience.
The versatility of Derwent Inktense Blocks doesn't end there - they can also be used on fabric! The fabric does not need to be pre-treated, simply apply the colour directly to the fabric, dissolve the pigment with water and allow to dry. Once dry, the colour will become permanent if all the colour has been fully dissolved/washed out and there are no marks left on the fabric. The fabric should be hand washed, without detergent, at a cool temperature.
Derwent Inktense Blocks work beautifully with Derwent Inktense Pencils to further open up an exciting world of colour and artistic style.
The colours in each Derwent Inktense Block Set have been chosen to provide as wide a colour palette as possible, no matter what set you choose. To find out more about the colours in each set, as well as each block's lightfastness rating, please download the colour chart.
