GOLDEN Acrylic Airbrush Medium helps artists turn their acrylic paints into airbrush-suitable mediums! It’s a 100% binder medium that can be mixed with GOLDEN Fluid Acrylic Paints to create a medium which can be passed through an airbrush for application. As well as acrylic paints, GOLDEN Acrylic Airbrush Medium can also be blended with GOLDEN Mediums and Gessoes for spraying.
To use GOLDEN Acrylic Airbrush Medium, first stir or shake the medium. Then, simply combine equal quantities of GOLDEN Acrylic Airbrush Medium and GOLDEN Fluid Acrylic paint and mix well. Strain the diluted mixture through a cheese cloth or #8 mesh to remove any large particles, then you’re ready to airbrush! It’s recommended you wait 5 minutes before use to allow any foam generated in the mixing process to dissipate before spraying.
Using GOLDEN Acrylic Airbrush Medium with your fluid acrylic paints will decrease the likelihood of clogging and tip build-up in your airbrush tool when spraying. For application, use air pressure 40psi or greater and apply onto non-oily surfaces. Always keep your tools wet during use, and don’t allow your Airbrush Medium/Paint mixture to dry in your airbrush.
For safety, always wear a dust mask or respirator when spraying with an airbrush.
After using GOLDEN Acrylic Airbrush Medium, clean your tools with soap and water for easy wash up. Always clean your airbrush with water and airbrush cleaner, then allow it to air dry before reuse.
Do not spray cadmium pigments or colours containing zinc white as these also contain trace amounts of cadmium.
