GOLDEN Fibre Paste is a semi-opaque acrylic medium that will dry to give your surface the look of handmade paper! It can serve as a ground for acrylics, dry media, ink, gouache, and watercolours.
GOLDEN Fibre Paste is easy to apply to your surface and can be easily manipulated with palette knives. It will hold its shape once dry, so you can manipulate it to the exact thickness and smoothness when wet and know it will dry to the same form. For a smooth surface, use a wet palette knife to smooth the top of your Fibre Paste layer while still wet. Once dry, GOLDEN Fibre Paste can be easily sanded too.
Apply your GOLDEN Fibre Paste to porous and semi-porous surfaces such as paper and wood for permanent adhesion. Alternatively, use non-porous surfaces such as metal and plastic to create “skins” that can be peeled off, painted, cut, and glued in mixed media artwork once dry. Mixing GOLDEN Acrylics with your GOLDEN Fibre Paste will result in a tinted ground.
Clean up is simple with just soap and water from tools and surfaces as required.
Note that GOLDEN Fibre Paste contains mineral fibres, not paper fibres.
