Crayola Witch's Cauldron Project

Crayola crayons are not just for colouring. Get experimental with melted wax to create a spooky Witch’s Cauldron full of colourful crayon potions!

What you will need

• Crayola Crayons Pack 24
• Black craft paper
• Pencil sharpener
• Clear tape
• Scissors
• Pencil
• Tracing paper
• Duct tape
• Hairdryer

How to do it

1. Choose the colours you want to use for your Witch’s Cauldron and use a crayon or pencil sharpener to create shavings. Lay your tracing paper out on a flat surface and sprinkle your crayon shavings on top.
2. Place a larger piece of tracing paper on top of your crayon shavings and seal the edges with duct tape.
3. With and adult’s help, use a hairdryer to melt the shavings. Leave it to cool for 15 minutes.
4. Draw your cauldron shape onto the black craft paper and cut it out. Cut out a hole in the middle.
5. Place your cauldron cut out onto the wax paper and trace to fit the wax paper to the inside of the cauldron.
6. Stick the wax paper down to the back of the cauldron with clear tape. Hang your Witch’s Cauldron in the window and let the light shine through!
