Add a personal touch to your Christmas tree this year with homemade FIMO Christmas Baubles. These FIMO soft Christmas baubles make the perfect ornaments. We’ve made ours in blue and gold, but these decorations will work with any colours of your choosing!
What you will need
- STAEDTLER FIMO Soft Modelling Clay - Your choice of colours
- STAEDTLER FIMO Metal Leaf Pack
- STAEDTLER FIMO Effect - Gold
- STAEDTLER FIMO Acrylic Roller
- STAEDTLER FIMO Cutter Blades
- STAEDTLER FIMO Stamp Set 88
- Small metal hooks or paperclips
- Oven
How to do it
- Scrunch the tin foil into a tight ball, making sure the ball is smooth and even.
- Cut off four portions of FIMO using the FIMO cutter blade, knead it in your hands until it has softened. Once soft, flatten your FIMO into a thin sheet (about .5 cm) with the acrylic roller.
- Cover the foil ball with the sheet of FIMO, smoothing the seam with your fingers.
- Cut one portion of FIMO effect in gold and knead with your hands until soft. Roll it into a thin sheet and apply a layer of gold leaf. Use the FIMO acrylic roller to stick it down. Cut out letters with the FIMO Stamp Set and gently press the letters onto the balls.
- Shape a small crown from the rest of the gold FIMO, to push the hook or paperclip in to. You are now ready to harden your FIMO in the oven for 30 minutes at 110 degrees Celsius.
- Your FIMO Christmas bauble is ready to hang on the tree!
