FIMO Effect Bracelet in Pastel Colours

27 February 2024

Candy colours put you in a good mood and add a bit of colour to your day. Why go with black or grey when you can create the perfect bracelet in soft pink, heavenly blue or bold green from FIMO effect to add to your look? This DIY FIMO effect jewellery also makes a great gift idea for your best friend.

Video Tutorial & Instructions

Step One:

To make the beads, roll cords from 3 portions of each of the different FIMO effect colours. The cords should be about the same diameter as the portioning ring.

Step Two:

Now push the cord into the portioning ring and cut off at the aperture. To make one bead you will need exactly as much FIMO as will fit in the portioning ring.

Step Three:

Remove the pre measured FIMO from the portioning ring and place in the bead roller. Close the lid and slide both halves backwards and forwards until you are happy with your bead.

Step Four:

Pierce a hole in each ball with a bead piercing needle. Make sure that the hole is big enough to thread the elastic cord through later. Now thread all the balls onto a bead piercing needle and hang over a heat resistant container to ensure no dents arise during hardening.

Harden the beads over the glass for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 110°C on upper and lower heat. Make sure you use an oven thermometer so that you can be certain the temperature stays constant at 110°C.

Tip: Work in progress and left-over material should be protected against sun and heat and can be stored in a screw-top jar or in cling film to protect it from dust and dirt.

Step Five:

Once they have cooled, thread the beads one by one onto the elastic cord.

Step Six:

Finally knot the elastic cord firmly. DONE!

Tip: If you want to make your bracelet even more eye-catching, you can decorate it with a little tassel made of wool.
