Jasart Tie Dye Mystical Set is a perfect introduction into tie-dyeing, containing three bottles of dye which can be used to create fun bright tie-dye projects. Tie-dyeing is a fun and simple craft technique where damp fabric is coloured using the dye. The fabric item (think socks, T-shirts, calico bags, and headbands) is twisted, wrapped, or bound using rubber bands. Once the dye is applied to the fabric it creates abstract patterns and shapes. Why not try the spiral, crumple, bullseye or ombre techniques? Tie-dyeing is a fun craft activity perfect for a family weekend activity that is accessible for all ages and abilities but it can be messy so ensure your clothing and surfaces are protected!
To use the Jasart Tie Dye Mystical Set, simply add water to the fill line on the bottle, shake well until the powder has dissolved and then the dyes are ready to apply onto your fabric piece. The fine nozzle on the easy squeeze bottle enables you to place dye in specific areas to create your desired look. You will need to leave your completed project overnight for the dye to fully set into the fabric. Remove any rubber bands you have used, then rinse, wash and dry according the fabric guidelines.
For best results use on 100% cotton, rayon, or silk fabrics. Use mixed dyes within 72 hours.
