The Masterson STA-Wet Handy Sponge Refill #857.51 is used with the Masterson STA-Wet Handy Palette and is designed to keep acrylic and other water-soluble paints moist for hours.
It is a unique sponge and special permeable palette paper provide the paint with a constant source of moisture preventing them from drying out even when the lid to the palette is closed.
How to use:
Before use, rinse the sponge thoroughly to remove any adhesives used during the processing of the sponge. This will extend the life of the sponge.
Then, fully saturate the sponge with COLD water. DO NOT WRING OUT THE SPONGE.
Place the wet sponge in the palette tray.
If the sponge is too large for the tray when it is wet, wring the sponge out and trim it to fit with a pair of scissors.
Then saturate the sponge again with cold water and lay it in the tray.
