During this online tutorial you will be inspired by the beauty of Botanical Art and discover the pleasure of working with Winsor & Newton Professional Water Colour paints, unrivalled in their pigment quality and performance.
Developed by Winsor & Newton Resident Artist, Carla Hananiah, the Botanical Collection Online Tutorial harks back to a historic and traditional artist palette, with a modern twist.
Using a limited palette of 5 colours, you will be guided through the creation of 3 beautiful botanical artworks (Black Eyed Susan, Striped Orchid and Purple Hellebore) and will experience the unique characteristics of each colour and their colour mixing possibilities. You will receive step-by-step instructions and learn tips and techniques on how to achieve effective colour mixes whilst refining your skills in watercolour painting.
Winsor & Newton Water Colour paints have been used by Botanists and Artists for over 150 years to create artworks, including the scientific documentation of fauna species as well as the creation of paintings of historical significance.
