Derwent Graphitint XL Blocks combine graphite and vibrant pigments in a unique formulation for rich yet muted shades of watercolour blocks. Use the Graphitint XL Blocks to draw, paint, cut, or grate, perfect for creating broad coverage, bold strokes, fine lines, and textured powder effects.
Each Derwent Graphitint XL Block contains a high volume of formula, equivalent to 8 pencils per block. This makes it an ideal artistic medium for large-scale projects or for experimenting with breaking it into pieces or grating it into powder to create intriguing textures and details. When used dry, it provides smooth textures and consistent coverage, while using it wet allows for customization of colour intensity: colours can stay vibrant or be diluted. After drying, the marks will result in a matte finaish.
The soft chunky pastel-like XL Graphitint block has been ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in your hand, allowing you to freely lay down broad strokes and expressive markings, but also have the control to add fine detail.
