Global Colours Professional Binder & Sealer Medium is a concentrated emulsion of 100% acrylic polymer resin that increases flexibility, gloss, and flow when mixed with acrylic paints. It is ideal for mixed media, glazing, sealing, bonding, and collage work where transparency and flexibility are required.
Global Colours Professional Binder & Sealer Medium is also excellent for preparing both rigid and flexible surfaces, providing a smooth, easy-to-paint base. When used as a sizing agent on canvas, the Binder Medium effectively seals the surface, preventing the absorption of paint and moisture into the fabric. On raw canvas, it helps prevent oil absorption from oil paints. It can be followed by the application of gesso for surface priming.
The Global Colours Professional Binder & Sealer Medium can be tinted with Global Colours Acrylics to create brilliant translucent paint with increased gloss and fluidity, which is thick and easy to manipulate. The Binder Medium will not discolour the paint. Increase the proportion of medium to colour to create a more transparent glaze. It is also great as an airbrushing extender and can be mixed 1:1 with water to revive unfinished artworks that may have discoloured.
The Binder & Sealer Medium can be diluted with water to create a flexible finishing varnish or tinted with Global Colours Acrylics to create brilliant translucent glazes. For even greater flexibility, thin with water. Mixing it 1:1 with acrylic paints produces lustrous, translucent effects. Allow up to 24 hours to recoat.
Global Colours Professional Binder & Sealer Medium is compatible with all Global Colours Acrylics and mediums, working together to create a highly versatile system.
