GAC 100 is a Multipurpose Acrylic Polymer that is useful for thinning or extending acrylic colours, or for increasing their flexibility. It can also be used as a sealer to help prevent discoloration of your surface due to impurities being drawn up through your substrate as acrylic paints dry.
GAC 100 is a thin, translucent, gloss medium that can be mixed with paint to dilute and extend them. It’s especially useful for this purpose when film flexibility and integrity want to be retained in the acrylic colour. Some artists also use GAC 100 in formulating their own paints as it wets pigment surfaces more readily than other polymer options.
Alternatively, GAC 100 can be used on untreated wood as a sealer. Apply at least 2 layers of GAC 100 with a brush when using it to minimise Support Induced Discoloration (SID).
GAC 100 is a water based medium that can be cleaned up with soap and water.
