Nurge Embroidery Wooden Hoops are used to hold fabric taut in hand embroidery and cross stitch projects. The screw tension feature allows easy adjustment of your fabric.

Nurge Embroidery Wooden Hoops are used to hold fabric taut in hand embroidery and cross stitch projects. Constructed from beechwood and featuring a screw tension with brass fittings, it allows you to alter the tension on the hoop minimising puckering of the fabric to create neat even stitches.

To use:

  1. Place the smaller inner hoop on a flat surface, laying the fabric over the top.
  2. Next place the outer hoop over the top (loosening the screw if required). Carefully push the outer ring down over the fabric lining up the two rings.
  3. Tighten the screw part way so the outer hoop will not slip off when you pick it up.
  4. Gently pull the edges of your fabric to tighten it. Work your way around the hoop pulling evenly on all sides of the fabric.
  5. Screw further to increase the tension so that fabric is tight but not warped or distorted.

When working on larger projects, the fabric positioning can be altered easily by loosening the tension on the screw and adjusting.

The Nurge Embroidery Wooden Hoops are 8mm deep suitable for light to medium weight fabrics.
